“Hold still. The light is perfect.” That is Cindy, camera up, framing you under a De Pijp streetlamp at midnight before you have finished your drink. Photography is how she pays attention. She sees the angle, the shadow, the half smile you did not know you had. The shot is usually better than you expect.
The facts, poster style. Twenty-six. 168 cm. Slim. Long wavy blonde hair. Blue eyes. Cheerful in a way that survives a late night and an early morning. Sporty without being intense about it. Easygoing enough that the plan can change three times and she simply laughs, grabs her coat and says lead the way. She is the friend who says yes to a sunrise, then actually turns up for it, trainers on, camera charged.
Mornings are for yoga, mat out, phone off. Summers are for sailing, preferably somewhere with wind and no signal. That outdoor streak runs straight into her style: sunny poolside charm, light fabrics, a glow that looks like a real weekend on the water. Put her in a dim cocktail bar and she lifts the whole room a few degrees. Ask where the light is best along the Amstel at dusk and she will sketch you a map on a napkin.
She is based in De Pijp, near Sarphatipark and the late kitchens that keep the neighbourhood fed well past midnight. English is her language, relaxed and quick. If boats are your thing, Michelle sails as well, and Luna is another one who never leaves home without a lens. She also knows which terraces catch the last sun.
Simple nights suit Cindy best. Good food. A long walk. A few photos you will actually want to keep. Rates begin from €180 per hour, and anything longer gets sorted on request. No pressure, no script, just a bright companion who makes a city feel lighter the moment she walks in.
A Night
With Cindy
19:30. Golden light on the Amstel, and Cindy already has her camera up on the Magere Brug, waiting for a boat to slide into the frame. 20:15. A free ferry across the IJ, purely to see the city from the water, wind in her hair, grinning like she is back on a sailing trip. 21:30. South again to De Pijp for dinner near Sarphatipark: small plates, a loud room, everything shared. 23:00. A walk through the park, empty now, while she flicks through the shots and deletes all but three. Midnight. One last drink at a corner café where the staff greet her by name. She calls it an early night because yoga is at eight, and she says so without a trace of guilt.
Cindy,
Asked
Three quick ones. Anything else, ask the desk before you book.
Q.01
Why is the camera always with you?
Because good moments never wait. A reflection on the water, a laugh across the table. I like having proof they happened, and I only keep the honest shots.
Q.02
Early bird or night owl?
Both, honestly. Yoga at eight, lights out whenever the evening decides. Coffee covers the gap, and a good night out is worth a slower morning.
Q.03
Perfect weather for a date?
A breezy evening. Wind means sailing weather to me, and it keeps a walk along the river from ever feeling sleepy.
