First night in Amsterdam, jet lag fading, no idea where to eat. That is the evening Vanessa was made for. She turns a strange city into an easy one: a table somewhere good, a walk past the canals, and a relaxed companion who makes you forget you landed only that morning. No pressure to be charming on four hours of sleep. She carries the conversation until you catch up.

Vanessa is twenty-five, slim, 173 cm, with long sandy brown hair in a soft balayage and hazel eyes. Sweet, genuinely. Curious about where you have come from and what it is like there. Relaxed enough that small talk never feels like small talk. She asks good questions and actually waits for the answers.

Learning languages is her way of travelling without leaving. She keeps lists of phrases from every city on her wish list and will ask you to correct her pronunciation, laughing at her own attempts.
