Lea, 23, throws ceramics and has strong ideas about interior design. Milena, 25, also sits at the potter's wheel, when she is not on a tennis court. Vanessa, 25, collects phrases in new languages and small bottles of fragrance. Bianka, 23, cooks seriously and treats vintage fashion as research.

Ask any of them what they are working on. You will get a real answer, and usually a sharp question back. Bianka will want to know what you ate today. Vanessa will want a word in whatever language you grew up with.

Molly, 24: house music, craft cocktails, a club that fills at two. Stacy, 22: comedy rooms and street photography, no plan survives her. Jasmin, 22: salsa and mixology. Roxi, 23: podcasts, boxing fitness, first to suggest dessert. Luna, 22: wine bars, film photography, front-row theatre.

This is the night out half of the band. They know which doors are worth the queue, and which ones are not.

Lucy, 24, reads the night sky and drinks her espresso standing up. Tiffany, 24, notices every detail of a hotel lobby and photographs half of them. Rosa, 25, bakes, digs for vinyl and knows the small galleries of De Pijp. Laura, 25, rides, skis and plans travel routes on napkins. Angelika, 24, splits her week between tennis, art and late jazz.

Curiosity, mostly. Less talk about job titles, more about where you have been and what you would do with a free month. Opinions formed recently and defended with enthusiasm. A willingness to say yes to the detour: the bar with no sign, the bridge with the view, the late set that just started.

Style reads current without chasing trends. Metallic nightlife glam, boutique-hotel chic, bold modern glamour, coastal bohemian. Very different wardrobes, each one chosen with intent.

Nobody on the roster is under 21, and the age on each profile is her real, current age. This band is a stage of life, not a label. Several have a project on the go right now: a darkroom roll waiting to be developed, a new glaze, a notebook of phrases, a snowboard trip to plan. Ask about it. It makes far better conversation than the weather, and in Amsterdam that is saying something.
